Two more new pieces!

The first was made with amethyst beads, the second with glass and freshwater pearls.





Each took a little over an hour to do...though I had to re-do the amethyst necklace with a stronger wire. The amethyst, pearls, spacer beads, and glass foil hearts all came from Bead Gallery. The little floral glass beads are from Darice, and the pewter ball is from Jill McKay.

Easy stuff! Each took 15 minutes to finish.

Two weeks of projects, part one.

I've done several pieces over the past couple of weeks. Here is a sample:

Michaels had some of the dichroic beads I wanted. I threw together this necklace in about half an hour, but I may re-do it.



Foxy! Pendant is from Manor House (Blue Moon), the ceramic beads and metal spacers from Naturals and Color Coordinates (also Blue Moon), the silver from Bead Gallery. Took an hour to do!



Next, I bought some fun things at Michaels yesterday, including this:

This is from Tokens by Blue Moon. I have an idea for it, but I'm going to wait for a sale on the other beads I'll need.

More beading books!

I checked out Glamorous Beaded Jewelry out of the library. It has some beautiful projects that mostly use semi-precious stone beads. One design I'm looking at calls for peridot beads, my birthstone. I plan on doing that one as soon as I can get some beads!

There's a second book, More Glamorous Beaded Jewelry. The library doesn't have it yet. I may end up buying both books eventually!

My latest project!

This time I used coral beads.



I have added more new beads to my stash...and I have some good ideas for them! I haven't had much time to work lately, but I'll try to do some this week.
